A good map need not be pretty, only true — three circles, one sheet of paper, twenty minutes.

Before letting anyone read your energy, draw your own map first. This exercise uses one sheet of paper and three circles — the same tool we use to open every 1-1 Energy Reading.
Circle 1 — Power: what fills you / what drains you
Split the circle in half. On the left, write the activities and people that leave you full; on the right, those that leave you empty. Do not judge — just record last week honestly.
Circle 2 — Time: where did 168 hours go?
A week has 168 hours. Minus 56 for sleep leaves 112. Split them into work, commute, screens, family, self. Write real numbers, not wished-for ones. Many are shocked to find "self" gets under 5 hours.
Circle 3 — Focus: what pulls you away most
Write your three most important things for this season in the centre, then around them what keeps pulling you away (notifications, requests, worries). The more lines pulling out, the more scattered your focus.
Reading the map: find where the circles clash
Place the three circles side by side and look for contradictions — the thing that gives you most energy gets the least time; the most important thing gets pulled away most often. That is where to act first.
