You spend 24 hours a day with yourself and 8 with colleagues — those two relationships deserve as much care as love does.

When people hear "relationship consultant" they think of couples. But in real consultations, the two most neglected relationships have the biggest effect: the one with yourself, and the one with the people you work with every day.
With yourself: do you speak to yourself the way you speak to a friend?
Listen to the voice in your head when you make a mistake. If a friend made the same mistake, would you say that? Most people are many times kinder to others than to themselves — and that is the biggest energy leak we find.
With yourself: keep small promises to yourself
Self-trust is built by doing what you told yourself you would do. It need not be big — "I will sleep before midnight", then do it. Every kept promise is a deposit in the account of self-belief.
With colleagues: you need not be friends, but be a kind professional
A good working relationship does not mean closeness. It means being clear (state expectations), reliable (do what you say) and respectful (no gossip, no blame-shifting). With just those three, you become the person everyone wants on their team.
With difficult colleagues: use the same tools as any relationship
An energy-draining colleague follows the same patterns as a personal relationship. Decode the pattern, use the three sentences, set the three-level boundary. The only difference is you did not choose them — so the boundary must be even clearer.
- Write down what you say to yourself after mistakes for 3 days, then read it aloud — it will shock you
- Make one small promise to yourself per week and keep it
- With colleagues: clear, reliable, respectful — that is enough
